a static horse sits at a foggy ledge.
downcast eyes see the tall grass,
spurless boots lie limp on able ribs.
crook'd down, the rider's hat rests.
directly above the noon sun waits.
below, fresh, keen eyes unseen gaze,
ablaze with untapped desire.
the dull murmurs of waste sloshes
languidly through his quick mind.
the reigns are held tight, the drop awaits,
but the spurless rider remains still.
